DONATE IN MEMORY

The death of a family member or friend can be one of the most difficult experiences to go through. Making a donation in a loved one’s memory is one way of celebrating their life – especially if your beloved one had a personal relation with the Holy Land, a Holy Place or the work of the Franciscan friars. Not only will your family member or friend live on in your heart; they will also live forever in the Holy Land.

LEAVE A GIFT IN YOUR WILL

Making a legacy in favor of the Franciscan Friars of the Holy Land is to be part of a centuries-old tradition.

The charm of this Land has led many, from the earliest centuries of the Christian era, to confront all sorts of dangers and to walk on and touch the places which witnessed the birth, death and resurrection of Jesus.

Much of the land on which there are sanctuaries comes from donations of wealthy pilgrims. They decided to allocate part of their inheritance to this blessed land. Pilgrims with much less means gave food and animals: camels, ponies, horses, pigs, sheep, poultry and doves. For a pilgrim, to donate was and remains a gesture of belonging to the Mother Church of the Holy Land.
